Honorary Seoul Citzen

The city of Seoul granted an honorary Seoul citizenship to David-Pierre Jalicon during the ¡°Global Village Celebration¡± hold at Seoul Plaza on May 6, 2006.

This Honorary Seoul Citizenship is given to a person who has made the most outstanding contributions in development of Seoul, or National quest, David-Pierre Jalicon is the first honorary citizen chosen as an architect and 13th among the French.

The city of Seoul says Daivd-Pierre Jalicon was selected with his contribution in Architectural field. The ¡°Central Point Bridge¡± and ¡°Aqua art Bridge¡± created new landmarks for Seoul by harmonizing the esthetics of French architecture and traditional Korean pedestrian bridge, having taken the level of Korean bridge culture one step higher.

This Citizenship is a part of event for ¡°2006 HI Seoul Festival¡± consists of 19 people.

Especially French Ambassador Philippe Thiebaud attended this ceremony to celebrate David-Pierre Jalicon¡¯s selection as Honorary Seoul Citizen.
